Protecting & rehabilitating women

Our Short Stay Home is meant for women who are either exposed to moral danger or are victims of family discord and the resulting strain of relationship or emotional disturbances.

Women get guidance and help especially in cases of migrants from rural to urban areas.

The First ever Short Stay Home sanctioned in newly formed Chhattisgarh is being run by MSSVP. This Home was inaugurated in December 7, 2005 at Ambikapur in Surguja district.

Residents of the Short Stay Homes are allowed a maximum stay of three years in the home, during which period, efforts are made to rehabilitate them meaningfully and maintain a follow up of discharged inmates, at least for one year.

SSH is supported and funded by Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi.
